Sustainability

At 1SHIRTZ | ONESHIRTZ.COM we are aware of our responsibility towards the environment and future generations. Therefore, we have chosen a print-on-demand production model to avoid overproduction and waste. This model is a central part of our sustainable strategy and is complemented by other environmentally friendly practices.

Print-on-Demand - A Sustainable Approach

Avoiding overproduction: In the traditional production model, large quantities of clothing are often produced in advance, many of which remain unsold and ultimately have to be disposed of. This leads to significant waste of resources and increases the environmental impact. With print-on-demand, we use raw materials that are only ordered and finished once you have placed your order. This way, we ensure that only the sizes and colors of the products that are actually in demand are produced and that no excess stock is created. But this is precisely why it can happen that a clothing size or a special color is not in stock and has to be reproduced. This then leads to longer delivery times. We hope for your understanding.

Certified organic materials

We only use certified organic cotton and other environmentally friendly materials. Our products carry the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certifications, which ensure that they are produced in an ecologically and socially responsible manner.

  • GOTS certification: This certification guarantees that our organic cotton is grown and processed without the use of harmful chemicals and under fair working conditions.
  • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100: This seal guarantees that our textiles do not contain any substances that are harmful to health, which is beneficial for both the environment and the wearers of the clothing.

Energy efficient production

Our production partners use modern, energy-efficient machines and renewable energy to minimize energy consumption and associated emissions.

  • Renewable energy: Our printing and production facilities use solar energy and other renewable energy sources to reduce their CO2 emissions.
  • Energy efficient machines: By using the latest printing technologies, we use less energy per garment produced, which helps reduce our carbon footprint.

Environmentally friendly printing techniques

Our printing techniques are not only high quality, but also environmentally friendly. DTF printing (direct-to-film), reflex printing and embossing techniques use less water and fewer chemical additives compared to conventional printing processes.

  • DTF printing: This printing process is more efficient and requires fewer resources while delivering long-lasting and brilliant colors.
  • Reflex printing and embossing: These techniques create unique visual effects without placing excessive strain on the environment.

Packaging and shipping

We use environmentally friendly packaging materials and rely on climate-neutral shipping options to further minimize the environmental impact of our supply chain.

  • Recyclable packaging: Our packaging is made from recycled and recyclable materials that can be returned to the recycling cycle after use.
  • Climate-neutral shipping: We work with DHL Paket and DHL Express, who offer climate-neutral shipping options GOGREEN and GOGREEN PLUS to offset CO2 emissions during transport.

Sustainable partnerships

We carefully select our production and business partners and only work with companies that share our high standards of sustainability and social responsibility.

  • Fair working conditions: Our partners are committed to ensuring fair working conditions and wages, which contributes to social sustainability.
  • Transparent supply chain: We ensure transparency in our supply chain so you know exactly where and how your clothes are made.

Through these comprehensive measures and our commitment to sustainable practices, we strive to create an environmentally conscious and socially responsible platform at 1SHIRTZ | ONESHIRTZ.COM. Our print-on-demand strategy combined with certified materials, energy-efficient production methods and environmentally friendly packaging shows that fashion and sustainability can go hand in hand. We invite you to become part of this movement and join us in making a positive contribution to the environment.
